How often does the automatic transmission oil change? I think this is already a problem with the autos of the car family. Some (automatic) owners accept the advice of professional 4S shop technicians to replace the automatic transmission regularly, in order to make the automatic transmission better protected. There are also some (automatic) owners who may think that there is no need to replace them, but it is because of this that there are so many automatic transmissions burned out.

In the general case, the automatic transmission of the car needs to replace the automatic transmission oil (ATF) every two years or every 60,000 km. However, depending on the model, vehicles with more high-speed driving are recommended to be replaced about 60,000 kilometers.

Replace the automatic transmission oil should pay attention to: the old ATF oil and other impurities need to be completely removed, the residual oil will accumulate with the sludge, impurities and the like in the valve body, the torque converter and the cooling pipeline, resulting in the internal oil circuit of the system. The blockage. More than 99% of the failure of the self-changing box is caused by overheating and ATF oil not being replaced for a long time, resulting in impurities. Also check if the transmission case is deformed or if the transmission line is leaking.

Do not use inferior transmission oil, because low-quality or counterfeit transmission oil, poor temperature resistance, easy to produce oxidation, causing sludge and oil residue, clogging the filter, reducing gearbox oil pressure, affecting shift quality, easy to produce Air pockets cause oil pressure to be unstable, and at the same time damage the friction material and seal rubber and metal parts, which eventually causes the gearbox to work abnormally. Because the working temperature of the self-changing box is high and the parts are tightly meshed, there is a high requirement for the quality of the ATF oil. Therefore, regular replacement of ATF oil is the key to self-changing box maintenance.

From the above introduction, we have summarized that the requirements that ATF must meet when working in an automatic transmission are:

1. The efficiency of transferring power is related to the viscosity of the oil and the degree of foaming. Therefore, it is required that the viscosity and foaming degree of the oil should be appropriate.

2. When ATF works in automatic transmission, the internal working temperature of the system can reach -40 -170 °C, the oil flow rate can reach 20m/s, and it is continuously in contact with non-ferrous metals and air, so the oil has high anti-oxidation performance.

3. ATF should have a certain lubrication function. Parts such as bearings and gears rub against each other during operation. If there is no lubrication of ATF transmission oil, it will be damaged by friction, so ATF is quite necessary in parts.

4. With the advancement of modern automatic transmission technology, its overall size is shrinking, but at the same time it must be guaranteed that its rotational speed and transmission power remain unchanged. Therefore, the greater the proportion of ATF, the better.

Usually, if it is properly maintained and used, the average life of the self-changing box is about 690,000 kilometers.

It can be seen that car owners should develop awareness of inspection and maintenance. Raising the car can ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition and ensure the safety of driving.
