Engine oil is as important to the engine as human "blood". It circulates in the engine and plays a role in cooling, purifying, preventing oxidation and corrosion and sealing friction surfaces. If the performance of the engine oil is changed and it cannot function as it should, it is very dangerous for the engine. Therefore, we need to know how to use engine oil correctly.

Correct use of lubricating oil

1. Correctly select the number plate of the engine oil

The selection of engine oil grades mainly considers two conditions: one is to select the appropriate engine oil according to the harshness of the engine's working conditions; the other is to select the appropriate engine oil according to the seasonal temperature of the area where the machine is located, combined with the engine's performance and technical status.

2. Change the oil in time

There are generally two ways to change the oil time. One is to change the engine lubricating oil according to the prescribed mileage or use time, and the other is to change the oil quality index and replace it in time if it loses its lubricating ability.

3. Reduce oil consumption

Before starting the engine, check for leaks of oil. If the organic oil drips from the edge of the flywheel or the rear end of the oil pan, the crankshaft rear oil seal is leaking; if the oil flows from the rear cover of the camshaft along the cylinder block, it indicates that the rear cover of the camshaft is sealed If the engine oil is thrown out from the crankshaft pulley, it means that the timing gear cover gasket is damaged or the device is improper and leaks; if other gaskets or oil pipe joints are loose and broken and the oil leaks, it can be seen from the outside. For traces of oil leakage, check whether the connecting screws or oil pipe joints are loose and whether the gasket is broken.

4. Prevent engine oil from being contaminated and deteriorated

If cooling water enters the oil pan, it will emulsify and deteriorate the engine oil. If water is found in the oil, the oil should be replaced in time and the origin of the water should be found, such as whether there are cracks in the cylinder head, machine body, whether the cylinder liner water blocking ring is aging, or the cylinder gasket is damaged. If the fault is found, it should be eliminated in time.
